John A. Spann, DDS
Dr. Spann is a native of Louisiana who graduated from Harding University. He obtained his dental degree from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis, TN.
He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Fellowship and Residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in 1995 and 1999, respectively.
Dr. Spann received his Board Certification from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in 2002.
He maintains memberships in many scientific societies such as the American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, Chattanooga Area Dental Society, Tennessee Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Southeast Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
He lectures regularly with local study organizations.
Dr. Spann maintains staff privileges at all area hospitals.
While attending Harding University, Dr. Spann met his wife Stacey, who is a Chattanooga native. Upon completion of his residency in 1999, he and his wife moved to Chattanooga where he joined Associates in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Outside the office he can be found spending time with his wife and their three daughters. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys traveling. He is involved with his church and enjoys participating in church activities.
