Background Information

An Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon is a dental specialist who surgically treats the mouth, teeth, gum and jaws. Following dental school, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon completes up to six years (post doctorate) of training in an accredited hospital-based oral and maxillofacial residency program and is trained to administer and monitor all types of anesthesia needed for oral surgery procedures. As Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Drs. Wayne Tipps, Steven Tipps, Hal Jones and John Spann manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Our surgeons practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from Dental Implant Procedures to Corrective Jaw Surgery and Wisdom Tooth Removal. They can also diagnose and treat Facial Pain, Facial Injuries and TMJ Disorders.

Drs. Wayne Tipps, Steven Tipps, Hal Jones and John Spann have the training, license and experience to provide various types of anesthesia to maximize comfort for their patients.

All of our surgeons are certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and are Fellows in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. They are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

Drs. Wayne Tipps, Steven Tipps, Hal Jones, and John Spann work closely with your general dentist to provide you with a complete range of modern oral surgical treatment of disease, injuries, defects and aesthetic aspects of the jaw and face.

All of our services are provided in an environment of optimum safety that utilizes modern monitoring equipment, excellent oral surgeons and staff that are experienced in oral surgery and anesthesia techniques.

Infection Control and Quality Improvement

We abide by all infection control standards. Infection control such as proper handwashing, sterilization of instruments and sterile techniques are mandatory.

All areas of the Center utilize quality improvement methods to identify and correct work processes.
